  • Should i apply citizenship before moving to another state

I am living in Louisiana. I got green card 5 years ago and ready to apply citizenship (form N400) now. I also have a plan to move to Texas in Jun 2019 to live.

    Here is what i know:

    1) There is a condition that you have to live in one address at least 3 months before apply for citizenship.

    2) If i apply citizenship in Louisiana then when i move to Texas, my case will be transferred from Louisiana to Texas and that process takes long time.

    So my question is:

Should i apply for citizenship now (March) in Louisiana?

OR wait to move to Texas and wait for another 3 months to apply (Jun + 3 months = Sept)?

You could consider researching how long it

I would recomment staying in LA before moving to TX, completing the process or move to TX and after three months there you could apply

The only problem I had was with the transportation of things, because for a long time I could not find a normal company to transport my things. And recently I was lucky and came across guys from a1autotransport.com. They work very fast and also have great prices. Nevertheless, I think you should consult with a lawyer.
this is not about MOVING WHILE HAVING A GREEN CARD. This is about N400 application that requires one to be a resident of one state for 3 months before filing AND the differences between Field Office's processing/approval time (TX vs LA)
