I need help to explain my eligibility status for citizenship.

My green card date was July 8th, 2002. I stayed in the USA for 3 months and 27 days. I came back to my native country for 11 months and 18 days, came back again to USA on October 27th, 2003 and keep my continuous residence till now.

My question is when will I eligible to apply for citizenship, is it on October 28th, 2007 ( 4 years and 1 day from Oct 27th, 2003 ) or I can apply citizenship on July 9th, 2007?

    Thank you

The required residence will begin to run from October 27, 2003. As to whether you are eligible after 4 yr and 1 day will depend on how you obtained LPR status. Unless you obtained it via marraige to a USC ( in which case if youre still married to that person you could file as of 07/27/06) or as an Asylee then you cant file before 07/27/08.
