HAI,
I am worried about my situation, and went to an attony but he coudnt help me.
I got my GC on 2000 march and I left US on june 21 2001 and came back on nov 22 2003.[for 2 yrs and 4 months]before leaving i applied for re-entry and i got my re-entry on Dec 4 2001 valid till Dec 4 2003, but i came back on nov 22 2003. so my total time out of country was 2yrs and 4 months but i came back within 2 yrs of my re-entry permit.[from june 21 2001 -nov22 2003]
Question is that page 22 of the Guide to US naturalization says that some time outside of US is still counted towards meeting continous residency requirements. It continues that if you come back within 2 years, 364 days out of US will count towards meeting the cont. residency requirement.
In my case is this applicable,if so when can i apply for citizenship, plz help me with this question....anyone
