  • Outside USA

    Hi,
I travelled to canada few times during weekends (at the maximum 2 days) to visit friends (by car). I don't remeber the dates i visited. Also there was no stamping on my passport (Since i have GC and driving all the times). Do i need to mention the time in the citizenship form?

    thanks,
    Sr

N-400 application clearly states that you list all travels made outside USA(including Canada,Mexico etc) that has lasted for more than a day.

So you are obliged to list all travels on the application and be honest. If you don't remember the travel dates and your passport does not have a stamp I suggest you put in an approximate date(I assume you remember the year you traveled).

During the interview process when you are asked to verify everything on the application(remember you will be asked to do so under oath) then you can tell the IO that you do not remember the exact travel dates but those dates are approximate. That should not be a major issue.

I was in the same situation and luckily I had few credit card trasacation while I was in Canada and that is how I know the exact date though my passport did not have any stamping.

You can talk to your friends, if you visited them in Canada, or remember any credit card transaction you may have made that will help you comeup with an exact date.

    Hope this helps.
