Hello,
My wife and I have been PR for 6 years and want to file for naturalization, yet have a few questions.
a) We have lived in our home for over five years, but only recently learned that my employer never did follow through with the change of address form with ins until several months ago. We filled out the paperwork that day and sent off. I am worried that when I put in my address information in the paperwork that it will not jive with any information they have on file. Basically, I lived at my previous location for a year, and moved to my current address for 5 years..but the paperwork may not reflect that at INS - Any concern?
b) I have had to travel outside of the country and have 90% of the time outside of the US on business travel. However, as I check my passport, etc. Several trips to and from Canada do not appear to be in my passport. I am way under the limit of days out of the country, etc. Should I worry about getting every single day out of the Country for the trips home and back to canada, or is this an order of magnitude, rather than a major search?
c) Moral question - When I was 19 or 20 I was arrested for obstruction of justice, which was since dropped to a fine - out with a bunch of university kids and we were all drinking. This has never been mentioned or an issue during my visa or green card process and I am torn between adding such a minor issue on the paperwork. Any feedback?
