  • Address change, after interview but before ceremony

    Hello everyone,

I dug into the forum. Found many people had experience of changing address
as well but didn't see anyone have same situation as me. Here are what
I did. If anyone had same situation, I would be more than glad to hear.

I passed the interview at Charlotte Sub Office in the beginning of June this
year and waiting for the notice of oath ceremony. Haven't received anything
about the ceremony yet and I have to move.

    - called 1-800-375-5283 (i was put on hold for more than 90 mins...). The
    lady updated address for me.
    - Sent AR11 form
    - wrote a separate letter to Charlotte Sub Office to notify my address
    change.
    - wrote a separate letter to Texas Sevice Center (USCIS TSC) to notify my
    address change.
    - Requested for mail forwarding service in USPS.

    My questions are:
    - I heard that the ceremony will be held in the local court (new name),
which is not going to be in Charlotte. Do I need to notify my local court of
my new address as well? If so, how should I do it? Probably cannot just
write mail to the local court. They might discard it.
What confuses me is that court and USCIS should be two independent
systems but the ceremony will be held in the court. If I don't update my
local court with the new address, am I going to miss the ceremony notice?
Don't feel writing mail to USCIS is enough. It's just my guess. Correct me
    if I am wrong.

    - Is it normal that it takes months to get the notice for oath ceremony?

    - Any other places where I should let know my new address?

    Any input is appreciated!
