FBI sent report- where should I check?

I am in San Jose and I did my FP on Sep 24th and I called FBI and they
said they sent info back to INS on Sep 27th. But I haven't got interview
letter yet?

Am I expecting this too early? I heard some people getting interview letters
in 1 month after they did FP.

Any info will be great.. Any one in bay area waiting in the same time frame?

I did FP on 9/9, no news yet. I went for Infopass twice..the immigration dude seems to recognize me these days... :-)
he says "everything is done..looks good, FP, name check..done, please wait..we are scheduling interview for you".
that's the only response I get, why don't u take infopass and try ur luck ?

Let me know, keep me updated. let's see when we end up getting the interview letters. maybe our cases are yet to be transferred to the local office (SJ) from laguna niguel...for further proceedings?

Thanks a lot for your response. Good to know that I am not the only one
waiting. I didn't think about the Infopass at all. Is it easy to get appt with?
where do I take that apt from?

All I need to hear from them is that every thing is cleared and it's just the
delay in sending the interview letter. In that case I can sit back and relax.

I will sure update on this thread if I get any more info.

schedule an appointment, usually u get same day or the next day appt too.

Don't carry ur cellphone inside the bldg, the security guy will send u back to ur car

This is on monterery road in SJ, lot of parking behind the building, go in, talk to the lady at counter (3). She's indian...pretty nice to speak with. tell her that u want to speak with an imimgration official. She will give u a token # and ask u to sit. There's this asian guy...who will call u on his counter, just provide him ur fingerprinting notice and the token. Ask him "what's the status on my fingerprinting and name/bacnground check". I haven't been able to get the answer I wnat from him (which is....what date was my name check done).

all he says is "everything is ok, we are going to schedule an interview soon...pls wait". hahaha :-)...to a certain extent, it's sounding funny now.
But, oh well, that's good enough for a response now since it's been only 3 months since I applied.

I don't think INFOPASS is going to help. I have tried my luck many times and still waiting since August 31, 2006.

Info Pass is never really any big help. They just tell you the same thing over and over again. Write a letter to the N400 Supervisor at the center you filled your application you filed at.

For a filing done only in August, why would one write a letter to the Supervisor? To complain about what exactly? ......thats not even 6 months!
Although some poeple are lucky to have evrthing done within 6 months, its not the norm really and if one look at the processing tmes gicen by USCIS, you will see that.

Just got my interview notice....for FEb 12, 2007.
Visa_time, hope you have also got urs by now.

My timeline:

Receipt date : Aug 10, '06
FP : Sep 9th, '06
Interview notice: Dec 09, 06 ( exactly 3 months after fp)
Interview date: Feb 12, 07.

Just checked this thread after long time. Good to hear that you got your interview letter. It's encouraging news but I am still waiting for interview
letter.

I did my FP on Sep 24th. So, hopefully I get it in near future.

I did my FP on 9/28/2006. Havent heard yet. I will take an infopass appmt for next week.

Meanwhile I want to call FBI and check if they have processed my case. What number should I call ?

Got Interview letter finally

Just in case anyone interested.. I just opened my interview letter from INS Laguna. Details:

Priority Date: August 21st, 2006
FP done : Sep 24th, 2006
Interview Date: March 15th, 2007
