NSC- No Finger Print Letter Yet

I applied for Citizenship and got a receipt 8/22/06 but not fingerprinting date yet. Went to the Detroit Office using Infopass, but they were little help saying that if I did not hear back within 6 months, then I need to contact USCIS---Considering everybody else seems to be flying through --I am feeling a bit frustrated--

Anybody have suggestions or stuck in a similar situation

Similar Situation - TSC

Applied in September at TSC. Receipt date - 09/11/06. No news on fingerprint - not sure what to do here but wait and see.
