Question about N-600

Can I apply N-600 for my kids when I apply for N-400 for myself and my wife? Or do I wait till I get citizenship.

I understand that one has to wait til you get your naturaliztion certificate before you apply for N600. But i believe once you get your certificate then you can apply for US passport to your minor son WITHOUT applying for n600.
