My wife and her son arrived on a fiancee visa in June 2004 and we were married in July 2004. It took approximately 1 year for her and her son to get their "Permanent Residence" status (green Card). My wife and I have differences of opinion as to the interpretation of the requirements. My thoughts are 3 years from receipt of 'green card' and her thoughts are 3 years from 'physical presence.' Who is actually correct? Your assistance and clarification would be appreciated.
