      austin/ san antonio oath ceremony

My wife and I are both waiting for oath ceremony dates and do not have a clue where they will be - Austin or San Antonio.

      Wife:
      interview date: 2/6/2007
      Oath: ??

      myself:
      interview date: 2/28/2007
      Oath: ??

Any body have any idea of where the oath ceremony will be - Austin/SA? Also what dates are we looking at?

      Thanks

kingofqueens - I had my interview yesterday (successfully!) and asked the DAO what the deal was with the oath ceremonies (because my wife hadn't heard anything since her interview on 2/6/2007). She first said "oohh... it's taking a long time" and then I asked why, to which she said "well, they are trying to fit as many people in as possible" or something to that effect - kind of mumbling. So..... I'm not sure if she knew exactly. So, I finally asked her when the next Austin date was and she said "I think in May". BTW, I heard that May date on some other forum too.

I also asked her about SA vs Austin and she again mumbled something to the effect that "it could be in SA or Austin". I then requested her to make sure my wife and I could have the same oath date - she put a yellow sticky note on my file about that and said that they'll try to accommodate that request

Let me know what you find out

            oath in austin

I have already past the interwiev on february 27th of 2007 in San Antonio, and the officer told me that oath will be in may in austin, but he did not say the exact day. I think it will be in weekdays during the day.

Fabian- your timeline is very close to mine and my wife's. She had her interview on 2/6 and mine was on 2/28!

Let's keep in touch and update this thread because it looks like the IO's don't really know when each person's oath will be. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what my IO said, but she said something to the effect that the oath could be in SA or Austin. Looks like your IO told you Austin.......

Can you give some more details about when the oath letters might be mailed out? Also, did you have to sign your full name on the naturalization certificate? Looks like some people did not have to. Please see my earlier thread and let me know: http://www.immihelp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25727

                oath in austin

Officer F. Velazquez said "You live in Round Rock, you have to take the oath in austin, the next oath ceremony date will be in May". I asked him about if my background check and if my documentation is good, and he answered that I past the background check and the papers are ok. I only have to wait for the oath letter.
I signed my name exactly it is on form-400, my two pictures,a paper with my information( name, alien number, address, etc.), a paper that I accept to take the new test, and the naturalization certificate.

Are you sure you signed a Naturalization Certificate? Because on this thread ( http://www.immihelp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25727 ) it looks like some people are saying it is NOT the Naturalization Certificate and that you only sign it after oath! Unfortunately, I do remember signing something like that (refer: http://www.immihelp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25727 ) but can't remember what the title of the paper was.

                  Can you confirm that?

                    Oath letters?

Just checking to see if anyone recd. oath letters or any other updates on their cases. There is an oath ceremony in Austin at the Delco Center on 5/11, so all Austin folk should have started receiving N-445's right about now.

Please update this thread even if you have any info about interviews, timelines, etc.
