  • Do citizens have A#?

    Hi All,
    I have sent my application for citizenship just a couple of days back. But when they have asked for A# for my daughter,who is a US citizen, I have put N/A as I did not find any A# on her birth certificate.So the questions I have are
    * Do citizens have A#?
    * I don't know whether they will accept the application. So if they accept the application and if citizens have A#, can I change it at a later point of time,I mean during fingerprinting or during Interviews?
    * If they don't accept my application,does it mean $400 fee is wasted, I mean do they reimburse the amount?

    Can some one please answer the above questions.
    Thanks.
    US Citizen.

    Your daughter is a natural born citizen. She doesn't have A#. The citizens don't have A#.

    If you carefully read the N-400 form, it is listed in the brackets and I quote

    "(if child has one)"

    Your child doesn't have one.
