Dear Friends,
Let me thank all in advance for posting/replying queries. Many of my questions get answered automatically.
I am eligible to apply for citizenship but I have a few questions:
1. One year I had to file a return for NY state as non resident.(Because I was working in NJ and the company was in NY and they by mistake deducted my tax for NY). Now should I say "yes" on question 13 where they ask if I claimed to be non resident in any of the tax returns. Will that have any negative implication?
2. I worked for my company which filed my GC about 6.5 months after I received it and then they laid me off(bec my project ended). I do not have any letter from them to that effect. What can I do to prepare for questions if Immigration officer may ask me question about that?
3. In one of my traffic tickets I got ticket for speeding 40 on 25 but it was later reduced to some charge "blocking the street". I paid fine but I suppose this is similar to parking ticket. Should I mention this also?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
