My citizenship application got rejected..

On my greencard, resident since is 06/06/02 & expiration date is 08/27/12.
So I prepared my application on 4th march & posted it on 6th march, ( I think which is 90 days before completing 5 years form date of issued)

But my application came back last week stating that I had applied more than 3 months before meeting eligibility.
Is it that my greencard is valid for 10 yrs and 2 months instead of 10 yrs, as the date of expiration is not in Jun , as the residance date is june.
I will greatly appreciate any sugestion/toughts on when to re-apply.

assuming you complete a year on 6/5 of every year after your got your GC, you complete 5 years on 6/5/2007, 90 days before that is 3/7/2007..

It is always advisable to...

...wait for 1 week or so after the 4yr 9mo time has passed by. Did you put actual dates on the N400 as "3/4/07" ? That might also cause a problem. Just re-send your app now...you should be fine. Make sure to change the dates on N400

Your GC date is the same mine.

I put 3/8 on my application and send the same date.
