  • Is this moving slow or what?

My receipt date is from mid-November and a couple of weeks later I did my fingerprints in San Francisco. I thought that by now I would be a citizen, but I am still waiting for the interview letter.

When was the last time you checked the status of your case? You can either make an infopass at your local immigration office or call the 800 number. If you call the 800 number they will forward your request to the office where your application is being processed. They will then send you a written notice with a description of what is going on with your case.

I called the 800 number today and the agent said that I can only take an action like the one you suggested after the processing date for N-400. Right now, this date is Sept-12-2006.

So, according to this agent, if my receipt date was before Sept-12, I could schedule an Infopass appointment.

Well... I scheduled an Infopass appointment and went there this morning. According to the agent, my case is still not cleared because is waiting for the name check from FBI.
