N 400 Payment Method

Hi

1) Is there any advantage in paying via a Money Order vs a personal cheque ?
2) The amount is $400 which needs to be paid via 1 cheque/MO. I understand that this will change after July 30th

Check is better

If you pay by check (cheque word is used in UK and India, not USA), then you have a record of it in your bank's statement.

Irrespective, keep copies or scanned images of everything that you submit.

Also, you will know immediately when the check is cleared rather than waiting for the receipt from USCIS. If the check is cleared means that they accepted your application on primary information.
