  • n400 application, interview next week! HELP!

Hello all! I had an urgent question. I sent in my n400 application and have an interview for next week. On criminal history, i was really confused and didn't include an arrest for drunk in public (because i thought it was dismissed). Anyways, after reading around the forum, I went and got certified court papers of the incident. I am in no way trying to hide and am going to bring it up at the interview. On the court papers, it says "Dissmised" for drunk in public , and it says I paid a fine for disturbing the peace. and then "Concluded." Is this charge a serious one where they would deny my citizenship. This was the only incident besides two traffic tickets. And it was in college during halloween. so a couple of questions

    1. Anyone that has had similar experiences...did anyone get approved with a similar misdemeanor? Is this a serious arrest that they would think i have bad moral character?

    2. What should i say at the time of the interview?

    3. Is this certified court paper enough evidence to show them?

THANK YOU ALL. Any advice or info would be great.

That shouldn't be a problem at the interview. As Long as you don't lie about it and take your certified copy of your Dismisall papers you should be fine. Don't worry about it. Just don't lie to the Immigration officer.

At Time of interview they will definitely ask you about the arrest. Its a minor thing about Moral character. Relax and take it easy. What you should say depends on what they will ask you.

I believe certified court paper is enough evidence to show them.

    Good luck!
