  • Can I change fingerprint appointment date

I am submitting my N-400 before the July 30 deadline, but am going on vacation during September. How do I request a change in appointment date for fingerprinting? Thanks in advance!

    July through September

If you're filing in July, you may probably receive your FP notice before you leave for your vacation.

Then if luck is with you, the actual FP date may not clash with your vacation dates!

If not, then the notice has the information on how to notify USCIS on changing the FP dates providing the appropriate justification.

Since you will have your return airline tickets, they should be helpful to you.

If you're filing for your spouse/family, make sure you send all the applications in one overnight courier package.

OR, just walk in to your FP center and show them your notice for FP with proper identifications.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck.

You will most likely get your FP notice in August. Just walk-in for an early FP. Generally Wednesday afternoon and Saturday mornings are for walk-ins. It is not run by USCIS and Application support centers are very friendly and efficient.

        FP Notice Reschedule

All you have to do is send in your FP Notice, check either Wednesday or Saturday to the Application Support Center. You do not need any letter to accompany it.
