  • processing time in Miami after fingerprints

    Hi guys,

can anybody share their experience on how long does it take to get the interview notice after the fingerprints are done?. i had to send my applications to the Texas service center, my received date is May 30, my notice date is June 13. I already did my fingerprints on July 21. I even called the FBI, gave my alien number, and they told me that the background check was done in minutes after I took them, so there is no waiting time. Now, after that I wanted to know where is my application at the Texas service center or at my local field office in Miami. I called inmigration for information and they said that my application should be at the miami local office now. Checking processing times for naturalization in their website, they said that they are processing application from January 12. That means about 4 1/2 months behind. I wonder if I will get my interview notice by january next year that will be about the time they will take to get to my month. Anyway, can anybody share any experience about this?.

This what you should do. Look at the top of this page and find the "TRACKER" tab. Click on that, then scroll down to find the "CITIZENSHP TRACKER" link, then click on that.

Once you're there, you'll see a bunch of data (people listing their timeline of events of when they occured). You then filter the data by selecting "ONLY Texas Service Center" applications. Once that is done, then you can get a pretty good guess-timate of when you should hear from USCIS about your interview date. Got it?

According to the CITIZENSHIP TRACKER datas, applicants who applied to Texas Service Center are getting their interview letter anywhere from 3.5 to 6 months after their fingerprinting date. So if you got your fingerprint on July 21, boy you've got to have some patience! My guess-timate for you will be November 2007 at the earliest and February 2008 at the latest that you'll receive your interview letter!

Which # did you call? I had called toll free # (1-800-375- **** ). It always goes to automated message. What should we do to talk to Customer Service in person?

      Please advise.

        My friend shie0023,

Thanks for your information, and I am very aware of all the things you told me, and believe me, I am patient. The only thing I want to find out is where my application is right now. I already did the research in tracker and I know the estimate times, besides, you cannot look only the processing times for the Texas service center, because they ultimately do not process you N400 but your local office, so at some point, your file is transfered to your local office, which in my case is Miami, the estimates for you local office are those guess-estimates. I just want to follow my application, and keep an eye on it, that's it!, I am not going to to speed it up because I can't. So what I am going to do, is just request an appointment in my local office to see at least if my file is there, that is it, and then I am going to wait!.
The number I called is that number. 1-800-375-5283 and just press 1 to all options until you get a recording that says that you are going to get transfer to a representative. Also providing your alien number and calling the FBI they will tell you if your application for background check has been processed, the number is 305-625-5590 or 304-625-2406, in my case they told me that they processed my background check in two minutes!, wow these guys are fast now.

          FBI number

          Hi,
I read your message, my case is same with you. Can you pls let me know what is corrected FBI #, I tried your 2 numbers, the 1st number 305-625-5590: no one answer, only machine, I left message but no returned calls yet. The 2nd number: 304-625-2406 is no longer valid. Which number that you can reach FBI and have them to confirm your FBI check cleared?

I had the same problem, I applied on 8/31/07, got finger print on 9/2007 and until now I haven't got anything from them. I just move to VA, so I guest it can be more delayed.

Any help of how to solve this problem can be highly appreciated.
          Thank you,
          Lien
