Here are your answers
Question1>
When I Went To Fill N400 Form.
Part 3/c-date I Became A Permanent Resident--it Should Be Date I Got My Green Card Berore 7and Half Years Or The Day I Returned Befroe 5 Years With My Reentry Permit???
----> The date you got your green card. That's the date you've originally been a permanent resident.
Question2>
Part 7/c- They Ask To Mention All The Trips Out Side Us Since You Became A Law Full Permanet Resident.
After I Returned Before 5 Yrs I Have Never Been Out. So Do I Have To MENTION About My 2 And A Half Year Stay Out Side During Reenrty Permit Period, I MEAN DOES THE REENTRY PERIOD GET A MENTION IN THIS SPACE???
----> All the trips for the period asked for. When you mention your trips properly the out of country stay automatically should get mentioned.
Question3>on The Online Us Citizenship Test Befor Application They Ask If You Have Been Out Side Us For More Then A Year??
Yes I Have Been Out For More Then A Year(DURING MY REENTRY PERMIT PERIOD)... But During Last 5 Yrs I Have Not Been Out For More Then A Year, So Here The Question Comes That I Will Be Counted A Lawfull Permanent Resident From Last 5 Yrs After The Reenrty Submission And My Rentry Or Befor 7and 1/2 Yrs
Whay Shoul I Put In This Answer.
----> Yup, you need to mention your out of country stay. See the point here is that if you try to hide and since they have all the information anyway, you're going to have more problems getting your US Citizenship. Hope you get the idea.
Question4> Does Obtaing A Reentry In The Past Affect Beeing A Us Citizen In The Future????
----> Nope. As long as you mention everything truthfully and do the math as per the required number of days you have to be in the US.
kINDLY HELP ME WITH THE ABOVE QUESTIONS I WILL BE VERY GREATFULL TO HAVE THE ANSWERS TO THEM,THANK YOU SO MUCH, BYE

hey thank you so much for your reply, when we give an online citizenship quiz to see if we are eligible or not in that they ask if
Since becoming a Permanent Resident, have you taken an trip outside of the United States that lasted for six months or longer with an approved "Application to Preserve Residence for Naturalization Purposes" (Form N-470)?
i have been out FOR MORE THEN 6 MONTHS but that was during my re-entry-permit days . not after that so here does it mean that if some one had applied for reentry permit in past and after that has completed 5 yrs period(after reentry period) in us he cant apply for citizen ship. ????Last edited by akshayjain; 09-02-2007, 06:28 PM.

Go easy on yourself
Just don't worry too much. Do the math and make sure you qualify as per number of days residing in the US. If you've been here for five years and didn't take a break for more than 6 months at a stretch while qualifying for the total number of days, then you're good.
Don't worry about your previous issue of a long break that you had taken before 2002.
See excerpt from Part 7 below. It says you need to tell them about your last five years. So tell them that and make sure you keep your own documentation on all your trips outside the US ever since you got your GC. In this case, you don't have to mention about the facts prior to the last 5 years but still need to keep the information with you just in case they want to know about it.
Excerpt from Part 7 of US Naturalization Guide:
Part 7. Time Outside the United States (Including Trips to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean).
A.Write the total number of days you spent outside of the United States (including on military service) during the last five years. Count the days of every trip that lasted24 hours or longer.
B.Write the number of trips you have taken outside the United States during the last five years. Count every trip that lasted 24 hours or longer.

Here you go
Here you go. Man, you've got long winding questions!
1. About 6 months. However, there is a specific FBI name check that has delayed the processing for many by months. Not sure if it is applicable to you. Have known that if you've lived in the same area for a while, it helps a lot.
2. Nope, you don't have to submit any of the trip information, just mention the dates in the form. However, keep the original documentation/copies/details with you, just in case it's required.
3. Nope, you don't need a new Indian passport unless you're travelling there before you get your US passport. Not having a valid Indian passport does not have any impact on anything, neither your US citizenship application nor your Indian citizenship (until you're an American citizen).
3.2 See above. Just in case you do send your old passport for a new one, they send you back the old one with stamping showing that this passport was cancelled. Also, you don't need to show the stamps to USCIS for your citizenship application. You just need to have the info with you just in case.
Take care.
