  • New here - Citizenship question

    Hi all

We are thinking of applying our citizenship (NC-400) this month and there is a chance that we will have to leave the country and settle in India due to family reasons. We would like to go to India right away if possible.

So in this case, will my aplication be still valid? if yes what documents will be needed

    Thanks

You can not settle in India as a permanent resident. You will be losing your permanent residency and your N-400 application probably won't be valid.

I would advise you to travel and visit india, but do not move there until your citizenship is granted.
