My son has requested that my husband and I sign an affidavit that they are lawfully married and have been living together since their wedding, which was almost 4 years ago. They have 1 son, recently born. She is a native of South Korea. What would necessitate this document and can our statements simply be notarized or must a specific form be obtained? Does a lawyer need to be involved? Thanks!
