How long before the system status gets updated?

My receipt date shows Jan 2nd but neither can I verify the status online nor when I call the 1-800 #. How long does it normally take for the system to get updated with the receipt number information?

It is hard to tell, never fully trust their online system. But be patient, you should get something within 30 days.

My question is I have already received the notice of action

dated Jan 2nd but when I do a case status search on the USICS , I get the message " The Receipt number cannot be found" How long does it take for the system to get updated though the notice of action was already generated?

Has anyone experieced this before where you try to obtain the status online and the system cannot trace your receipt number?
