need advice!

i got GC last year in 2007 november. my husband is in india. now i want to file for him. i want to ask should i wait for another 5 to 6 year to get citizenship and after that file him or just file him on my GC. what whould be the right dicision, how much time will it take if i file him on GC.i heard that it takes 4 years if you file your spouse on GC. pls advice me something better for us.

It takes 5-6 years for him to get a GC if you are a green card holder.

It takes 1 year or less if for him to get a GC if you are a citizen.

So you decide.

The good thing about filing now as permanent resident is that you save whatever fee increases there will be in 5 years for the I-130...

The bad thing about filing now is that it will be VERY hard for him to get any kind of student, visitor or any non-immigrant visa once an I-130 has been filed for him.
