    Hi:

I went for my citizenship interview recently. I had not registered for selective service because I had no idea about it. The officer showed me a form which I had signed ( I have no idea when-probably at my initial interview at US embassy in India about 4 years ago) in which it was mentioned in fine print that I had certified to join selective service and I had signed it. I mentioned to him that it is written in fine print and I had absolutely no idea about it. Then, I was given form 652 and was told that I'll get a written notification about their decision by mail. At that time, I did not realize that the form in question was probably given to me at the US embassy in India and I don't think I was given enough time to read it.
Should I write to the officer mentioning that? What should I do? Please help.

Failure to register with the selective service may be a bar for citizenship. You need a lawyer.
