Getting back to the US with foreign passport & certificate of citizenship

I am scheduled for the oath ceremony in just 2 days, and need to go out of the country on a short notice business trip in a week. Since my green card will be taken away and I won't have enough time to obtain a US passport before I leave... I wonder if it's possible to get back into the country using my Canadian passport and the certificate of US citizenship I will receive at the oath ceremony.

Does anyone know if these are acceptable documents at the US border? I will be traveling by air. If not, I am thinking maybe I should request a change of the oath ceremony date... What do you guys know about this?

I'm thinking I'd rather reschedule the oath... I wouldn't want to risk doing anything illegal by returning to the US as a US citizen on a Canadian passport...

How long does it typically take to be rescheduled for the oath ceremony, any idea?

Immihelp experts, please give me your opinion! I am supposed to have the oath ceremony tomorrow and I'm just agonizing over this!

Is the mandatory passport law applicable for road travel also? If not, you could choose to travel back by road with the Citizenship certificate and DL.

Thanks for your reply, txh1b. No, it doesn't apply to border crossing by land. That's a good idea, I should look into that.
