I am a green card holder and ready to apply for citizenship. My daughter is 10years old and I was able to process her legitimation in the country where she was born. Now that her last name has been changed, do I still have to apply for a replacement of greencard to change her last name even if I can apply for citizenship and just write her new name on the list of children on the N-400 form instead? It cost $370 to apply for namechange on greencard and $675 for application for citizenship. This is a big amount for me. Please advise me on what to do.
