New Naturalization Test

Hi: I wanted to know if any body has run into this situation. My wife's N-400 application was filed in June 2006. However her file got stuck in the FBI Name Check mess and luckily now she has been given an interview date. HEr date for the interview is Oct 9, 2008.

My question is regarding the Naturalization test. The USCIS website indicates that people with application filed prior to Oct 2008, have the option of taking either the old test or the new test. Am I correct in this assessment?

U r right

If you take interview before oct 1 2009, u have option to choose, test between old or new, but u must have applied before oct 1 2008. I applied in los angeles in sepl 21 2006. Finger print oct 10,2006. Now finaly interview on nov 3 2008 in los angeles. I was also asked to take fingerprints 2nd tim on sep 10,2008. Now waiting for interview,
