I have a question about the continuous residence requirement. In the year 2007 if 2 trips were made as follows:
FIRST TRIP - duration of 4 months [between Jan 1st, 2007 - May 1st, 2007]
SECOND TRIP - duration of 4 months [between Aug 20th, 2007 - Dec 20th, 2007],
so each individual trip was for only 4 months (hence less than 6 months outside at a time) but the total duration outside in the year 2007 was 4+4 = 8 months (which is more than 6 months totally in the year 2007). Does this break the continuous residence requirement?
[The FAQ page says "Travelling outside the US for less than 6 months in a year (continuous or frequent trips) is not a problem". Also, I am aware of the Physical Presence requirement.]
I would greatly appreciate any response.
Thanks
