Citizenship Status

Dear Sir/Madam,

I booked a trip to Amman/Jordan already and I will depart from Lafayette, Louisiana on October 20, 2008 God willing. My interview with USCIS is going to be on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 10:40AM. I will stay there for only two weeks and I will be back on November 3, 2008 if God wills. Is it legal to do so? Will that affect my citizenship status?
