My citizenship application N400 was delivered to the INS on sept. 30 2008 , but both the receiving date and priority date shown on the I-797C is oct. 1 2008. As my understanding, the receiving date should be the delivery date and priority date should be the date the case entered into their system. Am I wrong? I really need to knwo the answer since oct 1 2008 is the starting date for new test date. Thanks a lot.
