Help!!!

I mailed my citizenship application on 12.19.08. and my mail tracker shows that it was deliveried on 12.22.08. but I still did not received any corspondence form USCIS nor they cashed my application fee check.
I sent my application to Vermont Serice Center and i reside in VA.

Anyone how long does it take to receive first letter from USCIS.

Better contact them!

It's been awhile. You'd better contact them as Saturner said. But also get an immigration lawyer to help guide you through the process. It did help me a lot - peace of mind. Search the classified/yellow pages section of this website to see if you find anyone in your area.

Lawyer, have or not to have?

Well...some people have a complicated situation where is necessary to have a Lawyer to help them with their case, but some people do not have patience to fill out forms, provide their own documents, and pay huge values for a Lawyer to do the simple job.
My goal is to become an Immigration Lawyer, I am working hard for that.
