Has anyone ever apllied for a name change during naturalization at dallas office ? Just wanted to know, whether in dallas, the oath of allegiance ceremony is held in a court ( I understand that only if there is a court, a name change request would be granted). Please share your experince on this if you have done a name change in dallas.
I searched many treads/sites. But nothing comprehensively says that whether the court would issue any document indicating the old name and new name. Could someone please shed some light on this as well. I understand that you would have to use this document to record your name change at all other places (Social security. driver license etc)
Also wanted to know whether the name change request has caused any additional delay for naturalization(again specifically at dallas office)
