Need urgent help

Hai,

1. Can I go to India for a 2 month vacation after applying for citizenship? I will b applying in June mid and might have to go to India around august.
2. Can i go to India first and apply for citizenship after i come back? If i apply after i come back from India should i wait for another 3 months before applying for citizenship or can i apply as soon as i am back from India?

I would suggest that you do not leave US after mailing your N-400 to USCIS. while you are gone you might miss any notice for FP and other required doc's if necessary.

If you have to go at any cost then wait till you get back and then apply N-400. if you have completed 5 years on Permanent Resident then you don't have to wait 3 months after you return.

You must have resided in the district or state in
which you are applying for citizenship for
the last three months.

personally, I would wait until after my vacation to apply rather than risk missing important dates from INS. The whole process seems to take around 5 months if is a straight forward case.
