Does he have a chance ?

My husband 1st citizenship application has been denied last year for “lack of good moral character”. He got a DUI in January 2005. USCIS said, in the denial letter, that he hasn’t 5 consecutive years of clean record. In January 2010 it will be 5 years from his DUI. We are thinking about applying again this coming September, 3 months before as said. But we are afraid of a new denial which will be dramatic for us. My green card depends on that citizenship. I have a pending I-130 since February 2006.
Does my husband have a real change to be naturalized this time? ?
I am really stressed about this situation. Thanks.
