Hi,
I am a green card holder since July 2004. My mother leaves out of the US and is so sick, so I have to go take care of it every 6 month. I had almost 10 trips outside of the US which last about 170 days each (sometimes 130 days).
I now would like to apply for citizenship and understand I should meet the following criteria:
1- I shouldn't have a trip longer than 6 month
(which I meet this criteria)
2- I should be physically present in the US for 30 month in these 5 years (I don't meet this requirement)
3- The total of days outside of the US shouldn't be more than 1 year (I don't meet this one).
I was wondering since I wasn't away from the US 6 months or more, will I still be qualified to apply for a citizenship or not?
Thanks in advance
