  • filing together as couple

My husband and I are both green card holders. Can we file for citizenship together, and mail in the forms in one envelope? I hope to get the same dates for the fingerprinting and the interview. Thanks

Thanks for the response. I would have filled a form for both persons. So there is absolutely no way to make sure to be on the same timeline?

No, there's no guarantee that your cases will kept together though generally there is an effort by the CIS to do so. If you both get appointment letters stating different appointment times you can then write to your interviewing office asking for a reschedule of one appointment to coincide with the other.

I think you can .. I am going to be applying the same next week, why waste postage. I dont see a reason why this cannot be done as long has you have the two application stappled or clipped seperatly.

I did mail the two application's in one letter. And I just got the received letter for both applications. So it seemed to be working.
