  • Traffic citation after interview approved

I have a swearing in ceremony in a few weeks but i got a speeding ticket in between the time i got approved and my cermony.

What do i need to take aside from the citation? Should I get my driving record and take it with me?

This is a routine speed citation.

    Tnx in advance.

    Mariejm-
U can take the citation with you and prove that you paid any fines.

Relax it shouldn't be an issue!. Congrats on your upcoming oath ceremony.

    Best regards!

thanks to Poisontee for very valuable info

Yesterday at 2:45 pm I became a US citizen. My journey had a few bumps:
      1. my initial interview was "deschedule" three weeks before it was to be done.
      2. my oath ceremony is done in my district once per qtr, i wrote a letter requesting being added to the field office ceremony roster and i was sucessful with that.
      3. i got a citation for speeding after my interview. ( i was going to go to court to contest it ,but Poisontee responded to my question on the board and said " just make sure u pay the fine" . I paid my fine and took the receipt and the citation with me, since i had to declare the infraction.

Would u believe that the officer said to me, when i asked if he also needed my driving record (which is clean btw), " oh no, i jsut need to see u paid the fine" he took the original citation and the receipt and stapled it to my documents.

Thanks Poisontee for your wise words. All the best to everyone.
