N-400 Naturalization Timeline, Raleigh field office
07/18/2009 - Sent Application via certified mail
07/21/2009 - Delivered.
07/23/2009 - Check Cashed
07/24/2009 - Received NOA, PD 7/21, ND 7/22
08/01/2009 - Received Biometrics Appointment Letter
08/13/2009 - Biometrics Appointment
09/03/2009 - Received Interview Letter Appointment
10/07/2009 - Interview Date
10/07/2009 - Oath Appointment Letter Received
11/05/2009 - Oath Ceremony Date
The interview itself went very smoothly, the interviewing officer was very professional and courteous; the entire interview was about 20 minutes. The interview began with the officer putting me under oath, and at that point he proceeded with reviewing the application, question by question, double checking with me each answer and marking them as I responded. He also asked for photocopies of my passport, green card, selective service registration and driver's license. In the meantime, I was presented with several forms which I had to sign. After he finished reviewing the application and I signed the necessary forms, he asked me to read a very simple sentence and also write a very simple sentence. Then, he went ahead and asked me 6 civics questions (You have to answer 6 out of 10):
- Where is the Statue of Liberty?
- Who is the governor of North Carolina?
- What movement tried to end racial discrimination?
- Who was the first President?
- What is one promise you make when you become a United States citizen?
- When must all men register for the Selective Service?
At that point, he congratulated me and told me that he would recommend my application for approval. I went back in the lobby and 10 minutes later, a Notice of Naturalization Oath Ceremony, N-445, was given to me.
(By the way I had 2 speeding citations which I included in the application, those were NOT a problem at all, the officer confirmed with me that I paid the fines and that was the end of it)
Best of luck to all future applicants!!!
I finished my interview on Sept 18th and still waiting for the oath letter even though my application is approved.N400 Application details
Added in the citizenship tracker app(06/25/09 - 11/13/09)

Per documents to attach while sending N-400, Please refer to USCIS N-400 guidelines or Immihelp N-400. Fairly straight forward list of documents.
