I am in the process of applying for my U.S. citizenship. I have done some initial research how to prepare for the interview and to fill up the N-400 form. I do have some concerns, since I got my residency (Green Card) through Asylum and have traveled back to home country few times to visit my ailing sick mother (first time I vistited her after sixteen years), she passed away last year. Me visiting the country of prosecution will have any adverse affect at the citizenship interview. In addition, from the time I became a asylee to present, country conditions have changed; different government, peace accords, etc. Please advice.
