  • My Timeline beginning Oct/09 - San Antonio,TX

    Hello Everyone ,
I will be updating my timeline as I go through this process and thought that some of you might benefit from this information. I'd also like to know of anyone who is also filing through the San Antonio office or has just submitted their application this month (October 09). I want to let all of you newbies (like me) know that poisontee is awesome and has helped me with all my questions and is very quick to respond.

Damn, N-400 process at San Antonio office (TX center) is pretty fast. I wish they take some of the load from CA-AZ center to make it bit fast from its snail speed.

There's one thing I'm worried about now.....

On my application, I mentioned a speeding ticket and a minor traffic accident (no injuries, no ticket). I mentioned it because the application instructions say you still do (you just don't have to submit proofs). But now I'm afraid those things can delay my process. I hope and pray it doesn't though because as soon as I become a US citizen, I'm going to petition for my fiance who is here illegally. I will keep you all updated!

it all depends on the Officer interviewing you. in general, it shouldn't delay the process.
If you can, go with Proof you paid the tickets, should the officer feel like he/she needs to see prove.

One question on your fiancé, did he/she enter the USA legally?

          Best wishes!

              Hello everyone!

I realize I haven't updated you all as I should've, but I will do that now...

My interview was 1/25/10. I was in and out in about 30 minutes tops! It all went smoothly, officer was super nice and funny. My questions were:
              1. What is one promise you make when you become a US Citizen?
              2. Name 2 US holidays?
              3. Where is the Statue of Liberty?
              4. Who was the first US president?

Okay, I'm only able to remember those 4 questions. I can't remember the other 2. I asked the officer if he knew when my oath ceremony would be held. He wasn't sure but thought it'd be near the end of March. But I got my oath letter today and it will be Thursday, 2/25. I am very glad the waiting game is over! My entire journey was 4 months from the day I mailed my application to the day of the ceremony. I wish everyone else the best of luck and I'm here to help in anything I can.

Everyone, please put your timeline in the tracker at http://www.immihelp.com/tracker and delete from your posts/signatures.

Please keep the forum for discussing while leave the tracking details to the tracker.

If there is anything missing or we need to improve the tracker in any way, before you do that, please let us know. We will look into it immediately.

Otherwise, I don't see any point in putting the tracking details in the discussion forum.

I have written this several times. Most of the times, most people do not report any problem (or lack of feature) for tracker, but then don't put the details in the tracker either.
