Hi Everyone:
I am a complete newbie and just signed up for this forum. I think I just became eligible for citizenship and want to apply. But my situation is somewhat complicated:
I got my greencard back in 2002 and came to the US, lived here for a month went back came back a year later and applied for advanced parole and got a two year extension. Finally I got here in Nov, 2005. And have been here since. I took a vacation back to the country of my birth every year ranging from a month to 3 months since then. This is what I want to know. I went through the M-480 Naturalization Eligibility Worksheet and want to know
1. During the last five years, I have not been out of the United States for 30 months or more. ( I feel I have not considering the five year period being roughly Nov, 2004 - Nov, 2009. But I was under the advanced parole period from 2003-2005. I got here in Oct 2005)
2. Secondly, I never enrolled in the Selective Services (I didnt know )and I just turned 26 a couple of days ago. How big a problem is that? I first entered the US after I had turned 18. What can I do about it?
Thanks
