    Hi Folks,

    Here is my info:
    1.Received a FP notification for Nov'12 @Raleigh/Durham DO
2.Went for a Walkin and completed the FP on Nov'4
3.Called FBI and confirmed that my FingerPrint report was sent back on Nov'4.
4.My online status has been showing RFE even before I received the FP letter.

    Question:
    1. It has been more than 2 weeks and I have not received any IL or RFE letter. How long does it take between FP and IL?

2.Does the waiting period for IL start from Nov'12 (Original FP date) or Nov'4 (Walk-in Date)?

I tried to reach USCIS but could not get hold of any rep.

    Pl. provide me some guidance.

INS usually schedules interviews on the day of completion or after completion of 5yrs of GC (3yrs incase of marriage). So, even though its bit late in receiving your interview letter, your interview will be ONTIME , so donot worry.

In Jaykrishna's situation, we feel so sorry & just don't know how to comfort him. As I have mentioned in other thread, its surprising that even in infopass, they wont give him the exact information.

I got a letter from USCIS confirming that RFE was for the "BioMetrics". I'm waiting for my IL.
I saw a reply in this thread that IL will be sent after the candidate has completed 5 Yrs. In my case, I will be completing 5 yrs on Dec'24. Do I have to wait?? I have read in other forms that may not matter.

did you do an infopass appointment. If you got the yellow letter you probably should have got the IL as well, but sometimes they make a mistake or usps does and you do not get it. Didnt Helpwith1 found out 2 days beforeinterview that he did not receive the letter.

Your Interview Letter (IL) can be sent out anytime before completing 5yrs. But the interview date will be usually ON or after 5yrs completion. How ever, only one member (I guess its helpwithh1) in this forum had mentioned that his interview date was 5days before 5yrs completion.

When I went for interview, IO asked me if I had completed 5yrs. I said "Yes mam, today". She looked at the dates & said smilingly "Oh yeah, right Ontime. otherwise I would have to re-schedule your interview".

I have observed that in most of the cases, the applicants have received the IL in about 3 weeks from FP date. In my situation, my FP was scheduled for Nov'12 but I went in for a walk-in and completed FP on Nov'4. So does the 3/4 week wait period for IL start from Nov'12 or Nov'4?

                          Your reply is appreciated.

In another thread you indicated that you have received IL. Congrats!! What was the waiting period between FP and IL?
