  • Citizenship in less than 5 years?

    Hi there,

We have been in the USA for 4.5 years and have had our green cards for 1 year. My son is wanting to be a firefighter but has been told he needs to be a citizen.

Someone told me today that you can apply to have your green card issue date changed to your date of entry into the country which means we could apply in 6 months.

    Has anyone else heard this?

    Many thanks

    Tony

Look at your green card and see what date it show then add 5 years to that date, they go from the date on green card not entry or some thing else
