Forgot to mention Traffic Ticket in Citizenship Interview

Hi,

I got a speeding ticket after filing the N400 but I forgot to mention that during the citizenship interview.I did not receive the ticket courtesy notice until after the interview and found that the fine was > $500.This is my first speeding ticket and my driving record is clean other than this one ticket.Will this affect my citizenship process?What should I do?

Has your case been approved at the interview? If so you do not have anything to worry about.

yes, my interview was cleared.I relaly hope that this ticket does not cause any delays or issues to my oath letter.

If your N-400 is already approved, then you will receive the Oath letter. How ever, you have to answer a question in that Oath letter if you got any tickets in between Interview & Oath date. Then on the Oath day, they will ask you more about it & also for the proof of payment.

Actually you will get the interview letter with some questions printed on the back. You would have to answer them but I don't think it will be an issue.
