  • Should I apply? Take a chance??

    Hello All,
I got my green card in 2005 January, completed 5 years.
However I have stayed in India in 2005 for more than 6 months.
Should I apply and take a chance? Do they have the record when we are coming and leaving?
Because there is no track when a person leave's USA. But they do know when we arrive.
Should I take a chance and apply for Citegenship?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
    Best Regards!

    have to wait

dont think immigration people wont have any records. minimum requirement for naturalisation is staying out of US for less than 6 months. My sincere request is please dont take a chnace. wait for another 2 more yrs and see that u didnot stay outside US for the last 5 yrs from when u submit ur application.
they will have the records and also they will verify the passport entry and exit dates with ur application. Be correct with the dates u provide in ur application

INS will have all the records. So, If you apply now itself, you are wasting your money & giving some free money to INS as they will reject your case & filing fee will not be returned.
