  • Did not stamped passport

    Hello friends,

I have an interview on Tuesday based on 3 yrs marriage. I believe I am prepared, however, there is one thing which bothers me. Maybe you can help.

I did only 2 trips during my residence which lasted together for 38 days (in 2007). However, when I was leaving US, my passport never got stamped (for two different trips). It got stamped when I came back to US. I know that I did not stay more than 6 months, however, how can I prove that? Unfortunately, I do not have copies from my paychecks and its kind of late now to order them since my interview is on Tuesday.

Do you think it would be a problem?

Thank you so much. I am worried right now.

    Happy New Year to everyone.

Maybe if you have copies of your tickets you can take them to the interview. I don't think it's a big issue for you. Good luck with the interview.

US never stamps in Passport when you leave country. They only stamp when you enter the country.
But the country which you visit stamps date of entry & exit in your passport (for example; India did like that in my passport). So you can show officer those dates from your passport. Easy...eh?, so dont worry, Just relax

        Thank you both for opinions.

Yes, I know that US does not stamp passport when exiting the country. However, I was traveling to European Union countries and because I am also from the country which is a part of European Union they did not stamp my passport on arrival. This way I have only 2 stamps in my passport when I arrived to US.

Further, it would be easier if I had the air tickets but unfortunately I do not and now is not time to get it. Hopefully, INS has some records and won't be surprised and questioning me why I do not have any other stamps.

Thank you again for yours fast response. Everything the best to you in 2010!
