Travel after applying for citizenship

Hi,

I am planning to submit my application for citizenship by the end of this month.
I have two concerns
1. I am traveling to india for 3 weeks in march
2. My Indian passport is expiring on 29th march (I am flying back from india on 27th march and reaching US on 28th march)

would these two situations be a problem if I want to submit my citizenship application by end of Jan?

Generally, it is not a problem.

However, if you get an appointment for fingerprinting or interview while you are in India, I recommend that you immediately come back to attend them.

If incase I miss the finger print appointment or the interview appointment, is it possible to reschedule the appointments easily?
Also typically how much time would it take to get the fingerprint notice after the submission of the application?

1. No. It may be delayed by may be 6 months.

I'd advise you to apply for citizenship end of Feb, you will get the FP scheduled typically a month after you send in the application. This way you don't have to worry about rescheduling. One more thing, the ASC centers where you go for FP are not really very particular if you show up couple of days for your fingerprinting.

hi i just recived my finger print app for jan 26 2010 it is within the month i applied now your question on my fingerprint notice its says jan 26 2010 1:00 pm if some reason if i miss this date i can go any following wednesday same time as long as i go before 04/20/2009.i think its same for everyone.
