Finger Print in San Jose

Hello,

Me and my spouse has sent N-400 form on Jan-30 in USPS certified mail.
As per USPS status Service center has received my packet.

Q?'s

1) When I can expect Finger Print appointment ( I live in Santa Clara county)
I believe FP will be in SanJose office(1887 Monterey Rd, SanJose,CA 95112)

2) Can I walk in earlier than appointment date. ( I walked in earlier than
appointment date when I did FP form my green card in Oakland office
as I was lining in Alameda during my GC processing )

You can expect your FP notice in couple of weeks after applying. It will be around 5 weeks from the NOA date. The FP could be at the ASC on Charcoat drive in San Jose too.
Yes you can go and do a early FP. Try to go when the place is not crowded and your chance to getting an early FP will increase.

Same time as what is in your appointment date would be fine :-), they may just look at the time and let you in.

I tried to in on sat morning when there was no one, but they wouldn't let me.
But I took my wife on a different day around the same time on the appt. notice and they let her in.
Also, don't tell them that you came few days before your appointment. Just walk in, say you came for FP and fill the forms.

I got FP notice on Feb 22nd with scheduled FP appointment date on Mar IInd week. In FP notice,it was mentioned if I can not go on scheduled FP appointment date, I can go on following Wednesday(s) till june 3rd.... (umm plenty of time/chances)

I decided to take a chance on first Wed before my scheduled FP appointment date. I went to FP this wed...SUCCESS SUCCESS SUCCESS

Application support center allowed me as there were less number of people. I hope i have gained 2 weeks of time.

Majority of people feel that doing a FP ahead of schedule doesn't really fasten the whole process, but I think its one completed task done earlier than required and one less worry to handle.. Good luck with rest of the process

You may be correct helpwithh1, lets see when is next process letter i receive.

BTW, I called FBI # 202-324-2399 to check status of FP. They are not taking any inquiries on the phone/email/fax

Is there any other phone # to verify/check if FBI has sent their response to UCIS ?

No, I am not aware of any other phone numbers that would give you the status. I guess they are unable to handle the volume of calls.

i wish i knew i could do this !!!!
i was in a hurry to leave on a trip(outside the USA) so i stayed to wait until my FP appointment!!..and when i went for my appointment the FP were rejected!!! so i had to postpone my trip !
and till now i havent got my rechedule letter yet! but i will leave anyway!
coz i know have like 3 months period i can do the FP before the appointment date expires!

I got letter 18 days earlier, I went first Wednesday as soon as I got FP letter
Which is 2 working weeks

Does anyone know how long does it take to recive the Interview letter, once online status changes to Interview and testing : "File transfered to local office for interview"
