fingerprints question

hi all
i had my fingerprints today..i was wondering if its frequent for uscis to ask applicants to do FP another time (if fingerprints r not clear the 1st time)

the lady taking my fingerprints said she did her best to make the prints clear..
and its up to th FBI to decide if i need to take them again or no..

the reason am worried is because am traveling overseas for a visit nxt week..
so i dont want uscis to ask me again for FP while am already gone !

any1 had his/her fingerprints taken twice ..?

I was asked to come back for FP after two weeks when I was getting them done for my GC(because I had a cut on one finger and the prints were not clear). So its common to reschedule.
What you can do is call the FBI office that validates the finger print(their number can be found on these forums). When you call them and give them your info, they will confirm whether the clearance was given. From there you can decide if you want to do your overseas trip or not.
Usually the FBI clears the prints the same day.

so if i called FBI tomrw can they tell me if the prints were clear or not? coz i dont care when they r done with them..i just need to know if they were clear or not ..can they answer this for me??
and by tomrw they should be done with them right?coz as far as i know the FBI receives and sends the prints back on the same day...
i already booked my ticket ...

Definitely helpwith1 ! am just hoping they tell me that i dont need to do the fingerprints again!

i called the FBI ..my Fingerprints were rejected for quality reasons..
now how much time do i have to wait to get the reschedule letter???can any1 tell me plzz !!

Sorry to hear that, can you goto the FP office and try again. Do you need a reschedule letter? Just tell them that you called the FBI office and they were not happy with the quality.

i did that i told them if i cant just go to do FP again without a reschedule letter..they said they r not accepting walk-ins anymore..
i postponed my trip 2 more weeks..hope i finish with it b4 my travel date..
it does take like 2 weeks right??thats my question ...

I am not sure if you will get your reschedule within the two weeks. Did anyone confirm to you that you will get your FP appointment in two days?

2 days? no definitely i will not get the reshedule letter in 2 days.. i said 2 weeks..will i finish with the fingerprints (2nd time ) in 2 weeks??
i wish it was 2 days :S

oh im sorry to hear that your fp were rejected but on that first notice it said that date you were fingerprinted but did they give u other date if you are not availiable on the schedule date you can walk in followin every wednesday till this date?

well yea the letter says this...but 2days ago i called the uscis and asked them if i can just walk in and take my fingerprints again(without waiting for a reschedule letter)..they said they r not accepting anymore walk-ins..
but i will call them again on monday..and bring this wednesday thing up .. maybe i can do soemthing about it..if not i will just wish i will finish with my 2nd fingerprints in 2 weeks (i did my 1st fingerprints on the 11th feb)
i really need to finish with it soon..(2 weeks)..i gotta leave on a trip over seas..! and my ticket is booked..i dont want to keep postponing my ticket !
